LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Laser Hair Removal - Silky, smooth, hairless skin... every morning

Laser hair removal is a type of laser treatment meant to remove hair regardless of follicle depth permanently. The laser used in this treatment is a long-pulsed dye laser that releases rapid pulses of energy that penetrate the skin, targeting dark hair follicles.

HOW DO LASERS WORK?

Lasers most effectively disable hair that is in the anagen or active growth phase. Lasers emit a powerful beam of light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles. The laser pulses for a fraction of a second, just long enough to vaporize the pigment while minimizing damage to the surrounding skin. The hair follicles absorb the laser energy, impairing the ability to grow new hair.

Although laser hair removal is not usually considered permanent, studies have shown that areas where lasers remove the hair can generally remain hair-free longer than by most other methods.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

Only about 10-20% of the 900 to 1000 hair follicles found in one square inch of skin are in an active growth stage at any given time. Therefore, multiple sessions are necessary to achieve the desired results, typically, 6-10 treatments on the body.

Besides having less hair after each treatment, you will also decrease the number of ingrown hairs while helping prevent razor heat bumps and irritations. The treated area of hair will also become finer in texture and lighter, giving you smoother skin.
